For the Wabi-Sabi Residence by Studio Nomad, the photography was shaped by the nature of the space itself — a farmhouse conversion on the southern coast of Malta, where the landscape, the light, and the materials tell a story of quiet intention.
The approach was to let that quietness lead. Rather than imposing structure, the images follow the rhythm of the house — the way natural light moves across raw surfaces, settles into corners, and reveals the texture of materials chosen for their honesty rather than their polish. Muted tones, organic forms, and the deliberate imperfection of wabi-sabi philosophy demanded restraint behind the lens.
The result is a body of work that documents a home designed for living — grounded in its setting, responsive to its landscape, and shaped around the everyday needs of a young family.
