Chickoo | Fried Chicken

Real chicken. Done right.

Chickoo is a fried chicken and flame-grilled peri peri restaurant in San Gwann, Malta. I was art director on its brand at Studio Projet Noir, so we knew from day one how the brand and the photography should look. Then came the challenge, and we were ready for it: the entire food menu, over 60 items across 6 days, from stacked chicken sandwiches and loaded sides to salads, wraps and sauces, for Chickoo’s advertising online and in store.

I carried the art direction and the food styling through to the photography. Every frame goes in close and loud: a bacon and cheese sandwich stacked high, a double fillet pressed to the lens, mac & cheese spilling over the tub, each set against bold colour so the whole menu lands as one brand. It’s food photography built to make you hungry.
